Annual Halloween Festival on October 28, 2017

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Children and families are invited to the annual Halloween Festival at Vassar College for a Halloween parade, trick-or-treating and other fun activities on Saturday, October 28, 12:00 Noon in the Josselyn Beach area.  This event is free and open to the public.

The Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Department and the Good Neighbors Committee/Davison Dormitory at Vassar College will host trick-or-treating and a costume contest on Josselyn Beach.  Children and their families are asked to meet in the North Parking Lot at noon to start the annual costume parade. Afterwards, the children can participate in a costume contest and will be able to trick-or-treat. There will be arts and crafts, bouncy houses, juggling and Quidditch outside.

If you are running in the 5K Fun Run and cannot make it to the North Parking Lot in time, your children can join the costume contest at 12:15pm on Josselyn Beach. If there is snow/rain, the trick-or-treating will be moved to the Poughkeepsie Senior Center on Route 9.

This event is sponsored by Town of Poughkeepsie Recreation Department, the Good Neighbors Committee, and Davison Dormitory.
