Peter Beinart served as the editor of The New Republic from 1999-2006, after stints as its senior editor and managing editor. He is now journalism and political science professor at the CUNY Graduate Center, a senior fellow at the New America Foundation, a contributor to The Atlantic/National Journal, and a senior columnist for Haaretz.com. His books include The Crisis of Zionism (2012), The Icarus Syndrome (2010), and The Good Fight: Why Liberals—and Only Liberals—Can Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again (2006).
