Fiji and the World:
A Conversation with Journalist Vasiti Ritova

Vasiti Ritova is an award winning Pacific journalist who has covered the news in Fiji and beyond for more than three decades. Her career has carried her from regional news in western Fiji to major national news in this military-ruled developing nation, to wider Pacific journalism and now news of the Fijian community in California. Along the way she has moved from radio to print to new media. A vibrant storyteller, she links human interest stories with events of national and international significance.

Presented by the Department of Anthropology.  Co-sponsored by the Dean of Faculty Office, Asian Studies, Media Studies, Native American Studies, Women’s Studies, and Political Science.
