Democratic presidential primary forum on campus tonight. Monday, January 28, 2008

In anticipation of the 2008 Democratic presidential primary in New York State on Tuesday, February 5, the Town of Poughkeepsie Democratic Committee and the Vassar College Democrats are co-sponsoring a forum on Monday, January 28, at 7:30pm on the Vassar College campus. The forum will take place in the Martel Theater at the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film.  Join students and community residents to discuss the important policy issues facing the presidential candidates.

Local representatives of the Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Barack Obama, and Dennis Kucinich campaigns will make presentations of five minutes each and then take questions from the audience for 20 to 30 minutes. Moderated by the League of Women Voters and the Vassar College Democrats, the forum will close with a straw ballot.

The forum is open to the public. Members of the community who are driving to campus should enter through the Main Gate on Raymond Avenue. Security staff will direct them to proper parking. For directions, please visit
