Photography from Hispanic cultures to be exhibited at Vassar's Palmer Gallery, November 30-December 20

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Scenes from Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia, captured through the lenses of students and faculty members, will be on display in the James W. Palmer Gallery at Vassar College beginning Friday, November 30.

“Vivencias: Hispanic Cultures through the Study-Abroad Lens” will have an opening reception on Monday, December 3 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm and will showcase the work of 19 photographers – mainly students, who have participated in study abroad programs sponsored by Hispanic Studies. The photography features everything from landscapes and architecture to people in rural and urban settings, and displays the richness and variety of the study abroad experience. The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, runs through Thursday, December 20.

Vassar College is a highly selective, coeducational, independent, residential liberal arts college founded in 1861.
