Arlington Holiday Festival marks the season with entertainment and cheer

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The Arlington Business Improvement District, Vassar Student Association, and Vassar College invite the community to the tree lighting, entertainment, and refreshments of the sixth annual Arlington Holiday Festival, from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, on the Vassar Alumnae House lawn, at the corner of Raymond and Fulton avenues in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

In case of inclement weather, the Arlington Holiday Festival will be re-scheduled for 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. on the following Saturday, December 10.

Performers will include the Arthur S. May School Fifth Grade Chorus, and the fire juggling Vassar student troupe Barefoot Monkeys, and the festivities will culminate with seasonal songs by a Vassar student a cappella group. Santa, one of his Elves, and Frosty the Snowman are also expected to attend.

The Vassar College Community Relations Committee will host an arts and crafts project for children and there will be a holiday carol sing-a-long for everyone. Complimentary hot chocolate, holiday cookies, and freshly prepared s'mores will also be served.
