Photojournalist and midwife Elisabeth Ubbe to give a talk, “Female Genital Mutilation, Child Marriage, and Breast Feeding Across Cultures,” November 28, 2017

Elisabeth Ubbe, the Swedish photojournalist and a midwife for 10 years, will be speaking about child marriage, FGM, and breast feeding across cultures through survivor narratives and her photojournalism on Tuesday, November 28, 5:30 pm in Main Building Villard Room. This event is free and open to the public.

Poet Patience Agbabi to read from her book, Telling Tales, November 13, 2017

Patience Agbabi, Telling Tales poetry reading and book signing will be held on Monday, November 13 at 5:00 pm in Taylor Hall, Room 203. Telling Tales is a brilliant retelling of Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales for the 21st century, from The Miller's Tale to The Wife of Bath’s, in a style that captures the performance element of the work as well as its poetry and wordplay. A book signing will follow the event, which is free and open to the public.
