"One Person Can Make a Difference,” Lecture by Maryland State Senator Cheryl Kagan (’83)

Maryland State Senator Cheryl Kagan (’83) launched her career in activism and politics at Vassar. She has long believed that any one person can make a difference and will share stories from her tenure in the Maryland House and Senate, the philanthropic sector, and as a woman in politics. Sen. Kagan enacted the first statewide Styrofoam ban in the nation, chairs the 9-1-1 Commission, and has been recognized by the nonprofit sector and many others for her leadership.
