How We Gather: The Vassar Sukkah Project
A sukkah is a Jewish sketch of a dwelling, open to the sky and used for seven days around the time of the fall harvest of Sukkot (pronounced sue-coat) and then dismantled. In these pop-up shelters, all are invited to gather to celebrate the harvest, remember the parts of our lives that are transitory, and celebrate community.
