QPR Suicide Prevention Training for Faculty, Staff and Administrators

In-person events are suspended until further notice. The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center is now also closed. If you are a member of the Vassar Community, check out the Department of Athletics & Physical Education’s new virtual health & fitness program. Meanwhile, we urge everyone to comply with Gov. Cuomo’s executive order by maintaining a six-foot distance from others in public and washing hands frequently for at least 20 seconds.

Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR)
training for Vassar faculty, staff and administrators

According to results from the American College Health Assessment, in 2018, 12.8% of Vassar students seriously considered suicide. Join us in the collective effort to keep our community members safe. In this workshop, faculty, staff and administrators will be trained in QPR, an empirically validated approach to reducing the risk of suicides. Participants learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to intervene by applying three simple steps that may save a life.
