Brigitte Weltman-Aron lecture entitled, "In the Belly of the Whale: The Name and the Figure of Jonah in Hélène Cixous.”

Professor Brigitte Weltman-Aron (University Term Professor of French, University of Florida) will speak about a chapter from her new book project on the association of the figure of the whale with catastrophic destruction.

The event is organized by French and Francophone Studies and co-sponsored by English, History, International Studies, Jewish Studies, Philosophy, Religion, Women’s Studies.
