Ben Vinson III, Herbert Baxter Adams Professor of History at Johns Hopkins University. Ben is a historian of colonial Mexico who specializes in the history of African-descended peoples in Latin America. Vinson is the author of "Before Mestizaje: The Frontiers of Race and Caste in Colonial Mexico".
