Professor Gary Okihiro is a scholar in Asian American Studies, who currently teaches at Yale University. He will help facilitate a workshop with Vassar Asian American Studies Working Group members, students, faculties, and administrators that discusses the importance and methods of institutionalizing Asian American Studies at college campuses. Then, he will present a lecture on Asian American history, specifically focusing on the Third World Movement during the Civil Rights Era.
