Vassar College Libraries are celebrating 75 years of being a Government Document Repository.

Join Vassar history faculty members Miriam Cohen, Bob Brigham & history department alumni Vanessa May (’99), Professor of History & co-director of the Women & Gender Studies Program at Seton Hall University, & James Graham Wilson (’03) an historian at U.S. Department of State to discuss their use of government publications in their scholarly work & teaching. The discussion will highlight the documents as important primary sources & the ways faculty and students can incorporate government information into their work to help them more effectively tell their stories.

The panel is the second event in the series intended to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of government documents collection, aligned with the theme Endangered Documents and Data in an Era of Disinformation, we’ll be discussing how panelists use government documents in their scholarly work and teaching.
