Contemplating Difference: Contemplative Practices/Pedagogy for Difficult
Conversations

In the current divisive national climate, dialoguing across difference is more important than ever. But how do we facilitate those conversations when we—and our students—are differentially impacted by the issues? This
interactive workshop will offer practical contemplative pedagogical skills and frameworks to help us (and our students)learn how to stay present in challenging conversations, cultivate self-protection when necessary, and learn how to be responsive rather than reactionary.
