"Mameloshn as Ostalgie: Yiddish as an Engagement with the Legacy of East German Popular Culture"

Join us in taking an in-depth look at the history of Yiddish in postwar German popular culture and how it reflects much more of the political in popular culture since 1945. Learn about how this tradition created a space in which German dramatists, authors and performers have been able to engage with East German socialism and its legacy following the fall of the Berlin Wall.
