Guest Speaker Jerilynn Dodds will explore the rich figural paintings that adorned the library of the Alhambra, attached to the famous Court of the lions. They reveal both an elaborate visual culture shared with the Castilian kings to whom they were allied, and also their ambivalence about that interdependence in an original and lively series of depictions of courtly life.
