Petropolis! St. Petersburg Days at Vassar: Reflections of Petropolis. A multi-media exhibition that brings together various aspects of the city's image: from book illustration, photography and videos to contemporary works by Petersburg artists. Through December 19th.

Mary Anne Durham is Coordinator of Marketing and Communications for Gilt Groupe, a fashion website providing access to men's, women's, children's fashion and luxury brands at prices up to 70 per cent off retail. Durham began as an intern in the Fashion Department at Vogue magazine, then worked PR at Georgio Armani, before starting Gilt Groupe. Durham will share her experience in the industry icluding large corporate experience vs. small start-up; fashion house experience vs. editorial; give insight into fashion marketing/PR; discuss the consumer trend of on-line shopping; explain how Gilt Groupe functions.

A cinematic reflection on Russian history shot in one single take lasting 97 min. and involving some 1200 actors as the camera moves through the splendid rooms of the Hermitage and the Winter Palace. Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre (VRDT) is a dance company in residence at Vassar College. VRDT's three fold mission is to have students of dance participate in the choreographic/creative process, to perform works of faculty artists, to create and perform works of their own, and to learn and perform works from the classical ballet and modern repertoire. "Stones in His Pockets" is a bittersweet look at the experiences of two extras on a Hollywood movie filming in rural Ireland. Two actors, played by Sarah Wadlinger '11 and Evan Kaplan '10, portray all 15 of the play's characters, from a glamourous movie star to a troubled local teen.
