Vincent Harding, "The Obama Opportunity: Calling All Midwives." Vincent Harding is a historian, activist, author and educator. He has spent half a century participating in, studying and teaching about movements for compassionate social change. Harding is chairperson of the Veterans of Hope Project.
Vincent Harding, former speechwriter for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and historian of the civil rights movement, will deliver the 2008 Frederic C. Wood Jr. Memorial Lecture at Vassar on Wednesday, October 29. Harding will speak on “The Obama Opportunity: Calling All Midwives,” starting at 5.30 pm in the Spitzer Auditorium of Sanders Hall.
