Join Patti Phagan, The Philip and Lynn Strauss Curator of Prints and Drawings, for a curatorial tour of 'Impassioned Images: German Expressionist Prints'. Get an insiders look at works by many of the seminal German artists of the early twentieth century: Wassily Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Erich Heckel, George Grosz, Otto Dix, Max Beckmann, and Kathe Kollwitz.

Poets & Writers Exchange prizewinner, Paige Ackerson-Kiely will read from her recent work. Paige Ackerson-Kiely's first book of poems, In No One's Land, won the 2007 Sawtooth prize, judged by D.A. Powell. New work appears in journals such as LIT, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere. Paige has received awards and fellowships from Poets & Writers, the Vermont Arts Council, and the Jentel Artist Residency Program. She is currently finishing a second book of poems, The Misery Trail, and a novel about infanticide. She lives in rural Vermont and works as a clerk. Sponsored by the English Department.
