"Beyond the Woods." Photographs by Spencer Ainsley. "Beyond the Woods" examines the rugged beauty and isolated culture of the Blue Ridge Mountains through the lens of photographer Spencer Ainsley. Thursday, October 2 - Wednesday, October 22. Photographer Ainsley will give brief remarks about his work during the artist reception at the exhibition opening on Thursday, October 2, from 5-7pm.

Complementing the exhibition, Impassioned Images: German Expressionist Prints, the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center presents a night of Berlin-inspired cabaret presented by bass-baritone Robert Osborne and pianist Richard Gordon. Their program will feature songs in both German and English by Kurt Weill, Hanns Eisler, Franz Waxman, Friedrich Hollander, Paul Lincke, Mischa Spoliansky, Arnold Schoenberg, Jean Wiener, and Cole Porter.
