The children at the Children's Village in Kaberamaido, Uganda have been the victims of a 23-year civil war. The Orphanage helps to return some sense of normalcy to their lives. Life-size models of the Children's Village and activities, such as food tasting, dance lessons, listening to music, video watching, and Ugandan crafts, in addition to educational stations will teach students and community members about what the children of Uganda have faced and what is being done to help them.
Come find out about the Spring Break experiences and future plans of Vassar Uganda Project volunteers during our celebration of Ugandan culture! Featuring food, arts, crafts, clothing, music, pictures, stories, and items for sale! Admission is free. 100% of all donations and purchases will help us build a medical clinic and fund preventative health projects!
