"Professor Dowell's Testament" (1984) 91 min. English subtitles. A scientist who works on achieving physical immortality vanishes during one of his risky experiments? The film is based on a novel by Aleksandr Belyaev, the preeminent Soviet sci-fi author in the 1920s and 1930s. Introductory remarks by Dan Ungurianu.
