A Movie Poster Exhibition presented by the Separate Cinema Archive, March 18 - April 20, 2008. This is in conjunction with the Vassar Africana Studies Program, the Vassar Film Department, and the Dean of the Faculty Office. The Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center will exhibit "Artist, Auteur: Spike at 20 "- a retrospective poster exhibition of the works of director Spike Lee. On loan from The Separate Cinema Archive, the film posters chronicle the twenty-year journey of America's most prominent African-American director. From his feature length film debut, "She's Gotta Have It" (1986) through his profound television documentary, "When the Levees Broke" (2006), Spike Lee's provocative insight into social and political issues continues to redefine filmmaking. Open during Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center hours.
