New York Times education columnist and reporter Joseph Berger will speak about his new book "The World in a City: Traveling the Globe Through the Neighborhoods of New York." "The World in a City" grew out of the three years Berger spent for the Times as a kind of roving correspondent to New York City neighborhoods, writing feature articles about the ethnic and cultural richness of the city. Blending elements of sociology, pop culture, and travel writing, "The World in a City" takes readers on an intimate tour of present-day New York, describing the way immigration is changing the face of neighborhoods with a speed and diversity that could not have anticipated.
