A lecture by Judith Bennett. "Feminism and the Future of History." Judith Bennett is a feminist historian and medievalist who teaches at the University of Southern California. She has written research books on such topics as peasant women, women's work, and single women; she co-authored a popular textbook on the middle ages; and she has written extensively on feminist work in history. She will talk about the place of the "deep past" in our understandings of women and gender in the modern world. Sponsored by Women's Studies Program.
