To celebrate the gift of a Vassar education, CASA introduces its first annual Mind the Gap: The Gift of a Vassar Education. By marking this date we are not only celebrating a Vassar education but also the generosity of those who make it possible. Stop by our Thankathon table in the College Center and write a thank you postcard to our donors who support Vassar. Each postcard will be one entry towards a number ofprizes.

11:00 amTeen Visions 2008

More than 125 works of art by high school students from The Art Institute of Mill Street Loft will be highlighted in the sixth annual "Teen Visions '08" exhibition. The juried show will include paintings, drawings, photography, and sculpture from more than 50 art students who participated in the Art Institute's Summer Intensive and Fall 2007 courses.The students' work will be on display through Saturday, February 9. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

5:00 pmUganda Project Benefit Dinner

Benefit dinner to raise money and awareness for the Vassar College Uganda Project, a group of VC students and EMTs traveling to Uganda over Spring Break. The purpose of the trip is to provide medical aid and supplies to the children of a recently constructed orphanage in Kaberamaido, Uganda. A short video and Q&A session will follow.

"This Is What A Feminist Looks Like." What does it mean to call yourself a feminist? Who can be a feminist? Is feminism out-dated or is it still relevant? Why do you, or why don't you, call yourself a feminist. Join Vassar Faculty and Students to explore feminism conceptually and in practice. Kiese Laymon, Assistant Professor of English and Africana Studies; Eve Dunbar, Assistant Professor of English and Africana Studies; Liza Donnelly, Adjunct Lecturer in Women's Studies and Abra Sussman '09, President of Feminist Alliance.
