6:00 pm"A Night in New Orleans: a photo exhibit"

The ALANA Center in collaboration with the Black Students' Union invite you to "A Night in New Orleans: a photoexhibition." Photographer Mavis Yorks, in partnership with the Common Ground Relief Project, has graciously donated several of her pieces that display New Orleans of yesterday and today. This exhibition aims to pay homage to the disaster of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In addition, it hopes to sketch an image of the present lived reality of some in New Orleans, as well as to depict the, at times, paradoxical condition of New Orleans in 2007. Come join us for a night of observation, reflection, and remembrance. Light refreshments will be served. If you have questions, please email alhiggins (Aletheia Higgins).
